Mark had always been fond of animals, and when his wife Emily brought home a capybara named Coco from the local rescue center, he was more than happy to welcome the gentle giant into their home. It started with small things, Coco following Emily around the house, sitting at her feet whenever she was near. Mark thought it was just a quirky behavior, but as days passed, it only got worse. Coco would nudge Mark away if he got too close to Emily and would even stare at him with a protective intensity that unsettled him. One evening, while Mark was sitting in the living room, Emily and Coco were in the kitchen. Mark noticed Coco standing motionless, watching them with an unnerving focus. The next morning, Mark went through Emily’s things while she was in the shower, finding a note on the kitchen counter that sent chills down his spine: “You’re not ready.
