These Siamese Twins Have A Heartfelt Message That The World Needs To Hear

What they had to say made us tear up in an instant

Sometimes you just need to take a step back and reevaluate your priorities. What is really important in this life? Is it your career, is it getting rich, is it being famous? Or are the really important things a lot closer to us? Do we maybe already have everything we need inside us?

Mohna and Sohna Singh, Siamese twins from India, have a message that they want to share with the world. Prepare to be moved! Check out the next page to find out more.

Rare condition

Mohna and Sohna suffer from an extremely rare condition. They are conjoined at the torso and share a gallbladder, spleen and a pair of legs. They both have their own heart, brain, lungs and more. While they are two individuals, they have to always accompany each other.

There is nothing doctors can do about it, as you will find out on the next page.

Separating is impossible

Doctors have said that it would be impossible to separate them without one of the two not surviving the operation. They love each other so much that this isn’t an option. So they are playing the cards they’ve been dealt and try to make as much of their life as they can.

Walking around

When the pair walks around the Indian state of Punjab, the reaction of the public is quite bad, they say. This is mostly because they don’t understand. The twins have decided to make it their life mission to make a name for themselves and to inspire others. They live their life to the fullest, despite being conjoined.

Best friends

Mohna and Sohna are 19 years old. They were born as Siamese twins and are completely used to it, because they don’t know anything else. The two have been best friends since birth and used to play a lot. They quickly learned how to coordinate their movements, how to balance themselves and how to walk.

But with someone constantly close to you… Don’t they get into arguments? Find out on the next page!

Arguing

The two say they don’t fight or argue. They try to avoid this as much as possible, because they wouldn’t be able to walk away from each other. They have to cooperate, because they’re together all the time. Being mad at eachother would only make their life a lot harder than it already is.

Curious where they grew up? Find out on the next page!

Growing up

Mohna and Sohna’s parents weren’t financially stable enough to support two children with special needs, so they were placed at Bhagat Puran Singh Institute For Special Needs. Here, they get all the care they need. They are loved by everyone there, especially by administrator Jai, who has known them since they were small.

He explains that the two found their passion at a young age.

Electricians

Jai explains that from a young age, they always had an interest in being electricians. They used to leave their class and go see the school electrician, asking him questions about his work. The teachers used to scold them for skipping class, but the two had found their passion and didn’t care.

The twins have now found a job as electricians. We spoke to one of their colleagues.

Colleague

Malkit, Sohna and Mohna’s colleague, explains that he’s happy to be the Siamese twins’ colleague. They have been working together for quite a while. He mentions that the two are skilled electricians, who do a lot of repair work. According to him, they are very friendly and nice.

Not everyone is so nice to the two…

Locals

Like mentioned before, the two get a lot of mean looks from the local population. They are superstitious and don’t trust anyone who’s different than what they are used to. However, the twins get a lot of positive reactions from abroad, over the internet. This has convinced them that as long as they are able to tell their story, people will start to be more accepting. Even the locals.

So they have made it their mission to inspire. They have a heartfelt message to share.

Inspiration

“People shouldn’t mock us, but rather be inspired by us”, the two say. They have managed to make the most of life even while it seemed like the odds were against them. People nowadays tend to complain about a lot of small things, but if even these two can have a positive outlook on life, why can’t others?

Their message to the world made us tear up. Find out more on the next page!

Life span

The twins explain that most Siamese twins have a short life span. They are extremely happy and lucky to have lived this long, so they try to make the most out of it. As long as they live, they feel like it is their duty to share their love and happiness with the world.

They have a goal in life and you won’t believe what it is.

Goal

The two would love to become singers. This is their goal in life. They want to become big stars, traveling around the world and showing everyone that you shouldn’t let your life be dictated by things you can’t control. They are very positive about achieving this goal. In addition to this, they have a very special message to share with the world.

Find out what that message is on the next page!

Message

“Our message to the world is as following”, the two say. “We are happy together. We want people to learn from us. Be inspired by us, because we live our lives how we want despite being conjoined. Don’t waste time, live your life to the fullest.”
