This Is The Worlds Most Advanced Wheelchair (It Can Climb Stairs!)

The future is here

Technology has developed exponentially in the past few decades. Forty years ago, nobody could’ve ever predicted things like the internet, smartphones, nanotechnology and other marvels. And who would ever want to go back to a time without electronic kitchen appliances or washing machines? We save a lot of time each day, because of these tools.

But have you ever considered what a development to the design of a wheelchair would look like? Today we’ll reveal the most advanced wheelchair in the world, which is a direct successor to the regular wheelchair we all know. This one has a few tricks up its sleeve that make life a lot easier for those of us who have difficulty walking for whatever reason.

When we first saw a video of what this two-wheeled, stair-climbing wheelchair (the Scewo BRO) can do, we got tears in our eyes. It’s absolutely beautiful that that someone is taking care of technology for the ones who really need it.

Continue on to the next page to discover what this futuristic wheelchair can do!

Movement

Like we mentioned before, we got tears in our eyes when we first realized what this invention meant for those of us who need it. Everyone’s disability is different, so it’s great to see that this company tried to make it accessible for as many people as possible. Take, for example, the movement. You can move forward by leaning forward and move backwards while leaving backwards. Isn’t that super smart?

But that’s not all! Let’s discover more of its tricks.

Off-roading

You read that right: let’s talk about off-roading. If you happen to be in a wheelchair, or even used one temporarily, you’ll know that the beaten path is your best friend. You go where the road goes, because going off-road or up a hill is just not something you do in a wheelchair. Apart from this one, that is. The Scewo BRO’s wheels can handle a 10% slope and easily maneuver over obstacles that are up to two inches high. This means you can go off-road and scale a hill, for example! Just imagine being able to, for example, follow your dog wherever it goes, when you’re taking him out for a walk!

But the best part about this wheelchair is its ability to climb stairs. Find out on the next page!

Climbing stairs

Stairs are probably a wheelchairs worst enemy. More and more places are developing alternatives for this, so that their entrances or walkways become wheelchair friendly, but this is a process that takes a lot of time and effort. With this wheelchair, you can take matters into your own hand. It can climb stairs.

But how does it do this? We’ll tell you on the next page.

Tracks

The Scewo BRO comes with a special mode that allows it to climb stairs. Instead of using its wheels, it can lower two special tracks, that allow it to climb stairs. The large teeth on the tracks engage with the stairs and push it upwards. The sensors in the wheelchair even notice when you’ve reached the top, which allow it to safely transition back into wheel-mode. Crazy, isn’t it!?

And what’s more, there are more tricks to this technological masterpiece! Find out on the next page.

Raising and lowering

You can even raise or lower the wheelchair! This allows the person in it to be able to climb out, into a manual wheelchair, in a safe manner. It also makes grocery shopping a lot easier, as you can see in the picture above. You can simply raise the seat of the wheelchair up into the sky, so that you can reach the top shelf. No need to ask anyone ever again!

Isn’t it crazy how much technology has developed? We’re so glad that someone is using the latest tech to improve the lives of us who really need it.
