This is America’s longest hallway… You won’t believe what’s at the end!

We walked all the way and found out, so you don’t have to!

You will find America’s longest hallway in Boca Raton, Florida. It’s part of the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, which is a 158,000m2 office park. The building is open to the public, so we decided to walk all the way down this hallway and find out what secret lies at the end!

The hallway

We were extremely intrigued when we heard about this hallway. It’s not every day that you get to visit the longest hallway in America! So we drove off to Boca Raton, Florida to find out first hand what lies at the end of the corridor. We were shocked by what we found.

History

This building began as an outpost for IBM’s Research and Development department, which created the world’s first personal computer. The BRiC, as the office park is called, now houses a lot of state-of-the-art tech companies and innovative thinkers. 

All of this made us very curious as to what secret was at the end of the corridor… 

Length of the hallway

We went in hoping to see something spectacular. An office park that is home to this many tech companies… We’ve seen enough Sci-Fi movies to know that in most of these, they hide some kind of futuristic secret. 

So we walked on and found out.

Length of the hallway

At the start of the hallway, there’s a plaque that shows just how long this hallway is. According to the sign, it measures 907’, or 276 meters. This is longer than the Statue of Liberty is tall. It’s even longer than the height of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco!

But we walked on and discovered what lied at the end.

The end of the line

After 276 meters, we finally reached our destination. Much to our disappointment, there was no crazy scientific lab at the end of the line. There were no armed guards, no beeping of some supercomputer to be heard. Just a door. 

A locked door. Who knows what’s behind it?
