The woman in the picture above is called Jalicia Nightingale. This model from Barbados looks extremely remarkable, with her dark skin and icy blue eyes. This combination has produced one of the most beautiful faces in the world. The model has mentioned that, in the past, she was bullied for her appearance, but has since learned to embrace it and love herself. She now makes a living with her unique look.

A thumb from each parent

Although nobody looks exactly like their parents, most of us resemble them in some way or another. This man has inherited something very strange, though. He has inherited a thumb from each of his parents. His left and right thumb look different in size and shape and resemble those of his parents, which can be seen to the left and right of his own, in the picture above.

The Chinese boy with “cat eyes”

The picture above is not photoshopped, although it sure does look like it is. This boy from China was born with a rare condition nicknamed “cat-eye”. His eyes have the same remarkable feature that the eyes of our beloved pets have: he can see in the dark. According to those around him, it even looks like his eyes glow in the dark.

Vitiligo AND colored eyes

This boy from Uganda was born with two unique genetic traits. For one, he has a condition called vitiligo, which causes some of his skin to have no pigmentation, making it look white. The other unique trait is his blue eyes, which is a very rare occurrence in those with his complexion. The combination makes him look truly unique.

Long legs and arms

Javier Botet, an actor from Spain, was born with Marfan syndrome. This syndrome causes very spindly limbs, which the actor has now harnessed as his trademark. He fits especially well in roles that are supposed to look a bit creepy, like (spoiler!) a withered and old Melisandre (Game of Thrones), Slender Man or The Crooked Man (The Conjuring 2). We’re so glad he was able to use his unique features to his advantage!

Elven girl

This gorgeous woman suffers from albinism, a condition with which ones skin and hair has no pigment and thus appears white. According to extensive research, it has no effect on the physical health of a person, only affecting their appearance. There are some downsides to the condition, as it seems that people with albinism may suffer from visual and hearing impairment.

The man with freckles on only one side of his face

Freckles. Some want them, some have them and wish they didn’t. This trait, which is seen by some as a real mark of beauty, is usually found all over ones face. This mans freckles, however, seem to only cover the left half of his face. The right side of his face is completely devoid of freckles.

Hannam Kaur, the woman in the picture above, has long learned to love herself and embrace her unique trait. A condition called polycystic ovary syndrome makes her grow more facial hair than even some men. She advocates for a redefinition of what a woman’s body is supposed to look like, which seems like a logical thing to fight for when you look different from most people.

The woman with 3 fingers

This woman was born with a rare condition which causes her to only have 3 fingers. This trait, which we usually associate with aliens, is extremely rare. The condition, known as ectrodactyly, is believed to affect 0,01% of the babies in the world. Yes, that’s right! 1 in 10,000.

Super long legs

This model from Sweden has made a modeling career out of her unique genetic trait: her extremely long legs. They measure 40 inches (101cm) and are a real eye-catcher. She too had to deal with her fair share of bullying throughout her younger years, but since then she has come to love herself the way she is.

Extremely dark

This model from Senegal was born with a skin tone that is truly unique. It is not the cause of a condition, but simply the skin color the genetic lottery dealt out to her. She has been nicknamed the “Goddess of Melanin”, which refers to the pigment which regulates our skin color.

This relatively common condition occurs to varying degrees in about 1 in 5 individuals. It’s referred to as anisocoria and causes ones pupils to differ in size. Wide eyes

The Waardenburg condition is an extremely rare condition that has a mutation in the human genes. The condition is only found in 1 out of 40,000 people. It results in the affected person having an extra-wide set of eyes. They may also suffer from being deaf, which is rare. Stef Sanjati is a famous YouTuber with the Waardenburg condition and uses her platform to educate people on this rare condition and how it affects her body.

The person in the picture above suffers from a condition called heterochromia, which causes their iris to have two distinctly different colors. Eyes are usually ranked high on the list of things people associate with beauty, so having eyes as unique as this person can only be considered as winning the genetic lottery.
