Sailors couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw this figure flying towards them

These sailors were in for the surprise of a lifetime, when a figure appeared out of thin air. In this bizarre photo you can see the figure flying towards the ship, seemingly ignoring all laws of physics. We set out to find out more about this unbelievable occurrence! 

Ship

The ship was seen sailing at a pretty high speed, oblivious of what was about to happen. The sailors were expecting a quiet day on the waves. All around them was the ocean, as far as the eye could see. They had no idea that they were about to witness something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

Alarm

One of the sailors saw something out of the corner of his eye and couldn’t believe his own senses. Was he dreaming? Or was this a symptom of a lack of sleep? It had been a rough couple of weeks on the ocean, so he had not been able to rest much. 

He was the first to spot the figure appearing out of thin air, so he raised the alarm.

Shocked

The entire crew ran towards the starboard windows. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw a figure flying towards their ship, at an incredible speed. They had all heard the legends of krakens, sirens and mermaids. Were they now the first to witness another maritime legend in the making?

They held their breath and watched as the figure flew in their direction.

What was it?

It took some time for the crew to get a good look at the flying figure. It had been rainy and stormy all morning, so the windows were all fogged up. The clouded sky was very bright, as a result of the diffuse light. All in all, these weren’t ideal circumstances to examine a strange figure in the sky. 

But then again, these kind of things never happen on a clear, sunny day. They soon realized what the figure was…

No way back

When the figure was only a few meters away from the curious eyes of the ship’s crew, they realized what it was. It was too late for them, there was no way back. Like sailors in the legends of old, they knew their time was up. They said their prayers and waited for the inevitable.

Tracked

Unbeknownst to the ship’s crew, a small military vessel had been tracking them for a while. They had waited for the cover of the storm to make their approach. The ship was manned by known pirates, who had just committed crimes in international waters. The military personnel decided to deploy their latest weapon in the fight against piracy.

High-tech

The flying figure that had approached the pirate ship was one of the most modern pieces of military equipment in use. It was a soldier with a jetpack, who was able to board the fast-moving ship by flying towards them. The pirates were completely unprepared for this. The future is now!

IVAS

The U.S. Army is experimenting with an augmented reality headset called the IVAS. It provides a wide variety of capabilities to a soldier, including the ability to place waypoint marks, check a 3D-map, see better in the dark and even the ability to train against virtual soldiers.

We’re living in strange times, people. Who knows what kind of inventions we’ll see in the next couple of years!
